Sesshin weeks

 

The Sesshin-Week is an intense, consciousness-orientated time. It starts at any one time 7 days before fullmoon. 3 times a day we meet for meditative exercises:

06.30– 08.00am Silent Sitting in the morning

18.30 – 20.00pm Various kinds of active and quiet exercises

22.15 – 23.15pm Silent sitting with Bhashkar

 

Additionally, supportive reminders are given, to be practised during the day to day life. In each Sesshin-period there is a certain theme or question, give as a reminder, which inwardly accompanies us during the next weeks and creates a challenge. Supportive to the wakefulness. With an inner readiness the Sesshin-period can be a very precious time for each participant towards attaining more clarity and deep insight.

On the last day of each Sesshin-period we have a celebration in the evening, starting at 08:15pm with either:

- a Fullmoon Celebration (buffet, dance, theater)

- a Meditative Fullmoon Evening (50 minutes of silent sitting and 15 minutes dancing – in three cycles)

 

The Seshin-Reminders are available in German and English at the reception of the U.M.A. Academy, even if you are not able to participate in the Academy itself.
